Individual Psychotherapy
Exploration, understanding and empowerment of the self
Dora Papadopoulou, Psychologist - Psychotherapist, provides individual psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children, through a safe, confidential and supportive framework. Psychotherapy is a space for deeper self-awareness and personal development, where the client can identify, process and transform the emotions and experiences that are difficult for them.
Individual Adult Psychotherapy
Individual adult psychotherapy is aimed at those who wish to understand themselves in depth and deal with emotional or psychological difficulties that affect their daily lives. The therapeutic process helps to identify unconscious patterns of thought and behavior, which may cause anxiety, depression, insecurity, eating disorders or recurring dysfunctional relationships.
Psychotherapy supports those who are experiencing:
• anxiety, fears or panic attacks,
• depressive symptoms or loss of interest,
• eating disorders,
• difficulties in relationships or communication,
• low self-esteem and procrastination,
• burnout or fatigue.
Dora Papadopoulou, with a combined approach based on psychodynamic theory and neurolinguistics, helps the client understand the causes behind their behaviors and emotions, acquiring the tools to achieve mental balance, inner fulfillment and personal change.
Individual Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy
Child and adolescent psychotherapy focuses on the emotional development and mental resilience of young people. In an environment of safety and acceptance, children and adolescents learn to express their feelings, recognize their thoughts and develop strategies for dealing with their difficulties.
The therapeutic process concerns:
• anxiety, phobias, emotional instability,
• behavioral or socialization difficulties,
• school challenges and learning difficulties,
• teenage depression or loss of motivation,
• difficulties in relationships with parents or peers.
With respect to the age and personality of the child or adolescent, Dora Papadopoulou uses techniques adapted to the developmental stage of each client, combining knowledge of child psychology with a neurolinguistic understanding of thinking and expression. The goal is to strengthen self-esteem, emotional balance and the ability to connect with others.
The Goal of Therapy
Individual psychotherapy is not only about dealing with difficulties. It is a process of self-knowledge and inner growth, which helps a person to connect with themselves and find new ways of being and relating to the world around them.
Dora Papadopoulou offers therapy with respect, scientific training and consistency, creating a space of trust where the patient can evolve at a pace and safely.
